Betting Systems

Percentage betting requires you to bet a percentage of your current bankroll. For example, if you are betting five percent of your initial bankroll, the bet would be $5.00.

Progression betting requires you to increase your betting when you are losing to get out of the hole quickly. You lost $5, so bet $6 on the next race.

Due-Column betting is a form of betting where you decide on what profit you want to make and bet enough each race to achieve that. You want to make $20 and your horse's odds are 5-1, so bet $4.00 to win.

Odd-Based wagering require you to adjust your bet according to the odds. Usually, you bet less as the odds rise. Lower odds horses win more frequently, so bet more on them.

Kelly betting involves establishing your own betting line and betting on those horses who have odds higher than they should. This system invoves determing the best bets for value.

Dutching involves betting on more than one horse to win in a race.

The best approach to money management is to look for VALUE. The best bet on on underlay is no bet. If you find a horse with overlay odds, put a litle extra on it.
