Always look for horses that like to win.
Look at the money box and prefer those horses who have more wins than place and show combined.
Look for a recent grass win in at least one of the two most recent races.
The horse must have beaten at least half the field in its last two races.
The horse must have been first or second in three of its last 8 races.
