Every horseplayer must evaluate the horse’s most current race. Compare it to the second race back. Is there improvement in terms of time at the various splits of the race. Take a look at the horse’s previous races, especially the horse’s in the money finishes. Do you times compare with the most recent effort? If they do, you know that you have a sound investment.
