Maiden Bombshells

Maiden races offer some of the most lucrative payoff on the racing card. These lightly raced animals are still learning the game and can improve dramatically from one race to the next.

A good horse will break its maiden within four starts. Super horses usually win at the first or second outing.

To cash in on some whopping payoffs bet only maidens that have raced at least once and finished up the track, at least 10 or more lengths behind. Require a minimum of 50-1 odds and avoid betting on maidens starting from post positions #1, #2, or #10 and beyond. Other requirements are don't bet on maidens that have had the same jockey aboard more than once before and if today's contest is for MSW, the horse must have run in at least one MSW race before.

You can wager on any maiden who fits the above requirements until its sixth race.
