Horseracing Nuggets of Wisdom

There is no way to predict certain random events that unfold during the course of any given race.

Fast paces tend to string out the fields and make for easier travel for the closers.

Slow paces bunch the fields and cause traffic.

Horses show their limitations when they win, not when they lose.

The single most important angle that is looking at how a race will take shape, and how that will affect the runners.

When you are done handicapping, put your higher odds on TOP.

Very few horses maintain form more than a couple races. They are either in decline or improving.

1/3 of the time the favorite is ready to run a winning race.

Bet a little to win a lot, not a lot to win a little.
